Our Story

Amelia Farm and Market’s history began as a farm in 1916 when the land was planted with fig trees that were soon replaced with pecan trees. The family has sold pecans at their farm stand for 3 generations. The remaining land has been used for commercial rice production and a conventional cattle operation. After Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Ike, damaged pecan trees were replaced and the family switched to more natural and alternative methods in growing pecans.
